Kenjah (they/them), pronounced Ken-yah, currently resides in the beautiful Berkshires with their partner, two dogs, and cat. They were born in coastal New Hampshire, grew up in New Jersey, and recently relocated out of Albany, New York. During the winter, they are often on the ski slopes teaching adaptive snow sports or snowshoeing, and during the nonfrozen months, they often wander around the woods, find new spots to go kayaking, fish, and practice identifying local plants.

Driven by a strong sense of justice and equity, Kenjah's education and career path led them to a Master's degree in Criminal Justice from University at Albany and into the fields of both prevention of involvement with the system and reintegration into society from the system. In late 2020, they began to search for a way to marry their passion for justice and equity with their love of the outdoors; an aspect they were sorely missing in their life.

Kenjah's journey has led them to co-creating the first national Queer Wilderness Leadership Training with The Venture Out Project, becoming a DEI facilitator with DEI Outdoors, and being a current fellow in the Rising Leaders Fellowship Program with Justice Outside.

Kenjah continuously strives to create a space in the wilderness industry where ALL people see representation, feel empowered to be in relationship with nature, and are able to reach self actualization.
